NCM plays each Stockfish dev build 20,000 times against Stockfish 7. This yields an approximate Elo difference and establishes confidence in the strength of the dev builds.

Do not special case reductions for MultiPV case
Note that this introduces an asymmetry in which best move
is searched deeper then others also in MultiPV, but this is
not an error per se.
No functional change when MultiPV = 1
